where we’ve been
ibd was born out of a mutual passion and shared aesthetic. founded in manhattan in 2003, the company was the culmination of years of artistic collaboration. we are able to draw upon a history of experience in the retail, home furnishing, and home restoration industries to present a comprehensive approach to design and implementation.
our approach
over the last few years our creative team has grown to include designers, artists, architects, graphic designers, and a host of other talents. living between the east village and rural new jersey, our portfolio is just as diverse, ranging from nyc lofts to converted cattle barns. commercially our projects range from building a hip brooklyn café to revitalizing a country veterinary hospital. our new jersey camp houses the studios where we store antiques and architectural detail gathered during cross-country journeys. in a very organic way, we are able to repurpose and incorporate these unique finds into your space, creating a comfortable and lifestyle-driven aesthetic.
